        A foursome of manta rays glide through turquoise waters in Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea. We had a magical dive before breakfast with the rays as they came into cleaning stations but I opted to get airborne after breakfast while everyone else went back
        9 weeks after setting out on my journey to seek out optimism, I'm home brimming with stories begging to be written, images to be shared, and interviews to transcribe & record.

        Bear photography... with a phone held out the window! So many bears, grizzly and black, were out and about in Yellowstone National Park this past week! Thus cinnamon- colored black bear was munching away in a meadow late one evening.

        It's been more than a week without internet and so much has happened!! From a great couple of days at Ft. Washakie to Yellowstone, I've covered a loft of ground, done a couple of fun & fascinating interviews for  WildEarthVisions, seen incredible
        Little house on the grasslands. Camped in a wide open, quiet place worth the Wind River mountains to the west. As I was driving through the area today I was thinking how I wish I could bring everyone I know with me to see and feel, this vast stunning

        Today I drove west on I-80, climbing steadily on the highway bisecting stunning grass and sagebrush country. Lots of pronghorn! One beautiful buck stood regally atop a large outcrop as though surveying his kingdom. The strong wind rippled the grasses
        It's almost midnight here in Colorado. This has been a very full few days: full of intense heat (105°!), loaded with thick dust, chock full of wildlife, history, and exploration.
